Firm dog, Sammy, will join the staff at Melanson Law on January 18, 2020 and walk to support the WINK Feeds Families Hunger Walk 2020 to help raise funds to support the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Soutwest Florida. The Hunger Walk is the major annual fundraising event for the Food Bank and the planning committee, chaired by Attorney Melanson, has a goal of raising $300,000.00 to feed the hungry in our community. For every dollar raised, the Food Bank is able to bring $8 worth of food into our community.

September 2016 Ave Maria School of Law
Attorney Melanson participated in a panel discussion at Ave Maria School of Law sponsored by the Career Services Office. The panel discussion centered around Attorney Specialization and the panelists provided students with information about real life and the practice of law. Students asked questions about work/life balance, insight into the job hunt after law school and how to best prepare themselves for entry into the legal community by taking the right courses and starting to build their network.

After almost 8 years as a member of the board of directors of the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Noelle has reached her term limit on the board. She was honored at the Annual Meeting of the Board for her service to the organization with a gold record in honor of the food bank’s namesake, Harry Chapin.

October 2015 HARRY CHAPIN FOOD BANK SAYS GOODBYE TO ITS CEO.
Al Brislane, CEO of the Harry Chapin Food Bank is stepping down. Attorney Melanson, past Chair of the Board of Directors, and Keith Scoggins, current Chair of the Board of Directors present Mr. Brislane with a commemorative platinum record of the famous Harry Chapin. Al will be relocating to San Diego and working for a sister food bank there.

June 2015 – HARRY CHAPIN FOOD BANK WELCOMES 2015/2016 BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
Attorney Melanson has been elected to an additional one year term as a member of the board of directors of Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida and will serve as immediate past chair on the Executive Committee. Board members got together for a picture at their recent board retreat where they discussed the strategic plan for the Food Bank for the upcoming years.

Noelle has successfully completed her two year term as chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida. Noelle has served on the board of directors for the seven year and has enjoyed every minute.

June 2013 – ATTORNEY MELANSON ELECTED AS CHAIRPERSON OF THE HARRY CHAPIN FOOD BANK OF SOUTHWEST FLORIDA
Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida is pleased to announce that Noelle M. Melanson, Esq., accepted the position of chairperson for its 16 member board. Her term will be for 2 years.
Melanson has been a member of board since 2008, serving as both secretary and vice chair. “The food bank is a passion of mine and I’m delighted to be the chairperson. Working with this group of admirable and dedicated board members, as well as the tremendous food bank staff and volunteers, is an honor,” she said.
Melanson has practiced real estate, estate planning, and general contract law in Fort Myers for more than 13 years, owning her own firm Melanson Law, since 2010. In addition to her role with Harry Chapin, she serves on the 20th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee and the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball committee. In 2012, she was appointed to a two year term as a Fellow for Real Property Probate and Trust Law through the Florida Bar.

February 2013 – MELANSON TO CHAIR 3RD ANNUAL HARRY CHAPIN FOOD BANK GOLF CLASSIC
Noelle M. Melanson, Esq. has been selected as chairperson of the 3rd Annual Harry Chapin Food Bank Golf Classic. The Golf Classic will be held at Grandezza Golf and Country Club, Estero, on Thursday, May 9. The four-player scramble shotgun start begins at 1:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 12:30. The Golf Classic will bring may opportunities for golfers and non golfers alike with a silent and live auction and dinner. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida and every dollar raised at this event enables the food bank to distribute $6 worth of food to those in need. January 2013 – MELANSON LAW PA SPONSORS WINK NEWS FEEDS FAMILIES HUNGER WALK
Melanson Law PA was a proud sponsor of the 5th Annual WINK News Feeds Families Hunger Walk held on January 19, 2013. The January walk was the biggest ever walk with almost 1000 participants and 116 teams all raising money to support the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida. The sponsors and walkers combined to raise over $340,000.00 to help combat hunger in our community.

September 2012 – MELANSON NAMED AS FELLOW FOR THE FLORIDA BAR
Noelle M. Melanson, Esq. of Melanson Law PA has been named a Fellow for the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section (RPPTL) of The Florida Bar.
The RPPTL Section is the section of The Florida Bar that deals with developing real property, probate and trust law for the State of Florida. The Section serves the public generally and The Florida Bar in interpreting and carrying out the public and professional needs and objectives in these areas of law. It is responsible for developing standards for ethical and competent practice in real property, probate and trust law. The Section comprises attorneys who practice in these areas of law and meets four times a year throughout the State of Florida, with one meeting usually held out of State. The Fellowship program is a heavily sought after appointment designed to encourage selected attorneys to become substantially involved in the Section work, receive leadership training and work closely with leading attorneys in their field. July 2012 – MELANSON JOINS 20th JUDICIAL CIRCUIT GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE
Noelle M. Melanson, Esq. of Melanson Law PA has been appointed by the Florida Bar to the 20th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee “A” as an attorney member through January 2015.
Made up of volunteers, at least one-third of which are not lawyer, the committee reviews complaints and “decides, after a case is submitted to them by bar counsel, whether there is probable cause to believe a lawyer violated the professional conduct rules imposed by the Supreme Court of Florida and whether discipline against the lawyer appears to be warranted,” according to The Florida Bar.
